Proclaim Your Praise!

Liz Wisniewski - It is only by the grace of God that I can give this testimony.  I was very ill December 1999 through January 2000.  I spent all of December and the first two weeks of January in the hospital, including one week in ICU.  I do not remember much of the first four weeks except the thing that stands out the most was lying in bed and watching my husband’s face knowing he felt helpless and scared.  All our family live out of state and I praise Jesus for church family and friends that prayed for us and provided support for Len.  Prayers were answered and after a couple rough nights in ICU I began to improve.  I remember waking up on Christmas morning and a nurse standing by my bed wishing me a “Merry Christmas.”  My response was “Happy Birthday, Jesus.”  She took my hand and asked if she could say a prayer.  To this day I do not know her name but I know she was meant to be there.  I thank God daily for His faithfulness and healing hand and for giving Len the strength to endure.

We also must give praise and glory to our Heavenly Father for our granddaughter’s continued heath.  Ashley’s cancer has been in remission for the last six months and she is living the normal active life of a 12-year-old.  Thank You, Jesus!

Joni Venet - I am thankful that God continues to teach me.  I know without a doubt how real He is.  His grace is abundantly clear through Tannesha’s life.  The lessons I am learning are difficult but how lucky I am He loves me and draws me closer to Him.   I am learning what it means to truly trust  Him.  What does it mean to be a Christian?  After 14 years I am still learning.  What a journey.  Thank You, God, for loving me, molding me to who You want me to be.

Carl and Betty Kleyn - What a blessing to know that there is no age limit on prayer, love, friendship, learning, compassion and God’s limitless love. We thank You, Lord, for everything and every situation in our lives, whether it is good or hard to understand. You are Alpha and Omega - the beginning and the end.  What a comfort to know You as Lord and Savior.

Pat Jones - Praise our God for working in the lives of the men on the Deacon Board.  I have prayed for this Board to get back to caring for the families of The Chapel.  It has been such a blessing to hear you say positive statements about your deacon.  These men are really trying to minister to you.  Continue to pray for us as we do God’s work for your spiritual growth.  Thank you Deacons and may God bless you and your families.

Anonymous  - The Lord truly knew what He was doing in bringing Mike and Bettye McCartney here.  Thank God for a couple who loves each other deeply.  Thank God for a man who spreads the truth in love as he works with Adult Ministries as well as when he counsels with young couples or with the broken hearted.  “Do not grow weary in well doing...”(Gal. 6:9), Mike and Bettye.

I am thankful for the privilege of coming together to pray for our church in the Bennett’s home on a monthly basis.  We wives of pastors, deacons and trustees have grown closer to each other and to the Lord as Linda so graciously opens her home and her heart to us.

Every Sunday my eyes, my mind and my heart are focused heavenward through the Music Ministry.  The Lord is truly magnified.  I am so thankful for the choir, the orchestra and other musicians – for Bob Roberts and Kevin Huston who runs the soundboard – for Mike and Lisa Lintner as well as others who ably served as pinch hitters until Scott arrived — and for Scott who so ably serves the Lord in leading us all week after week.
