From the November, 1998 edition of The Doulos monthly newsletter by Darrin Noble The Benevolence Fund - A Ministry Opportunity for Everyone Paul admonishes us as believers to "take care of our own." The Benevolence Fund is a ministry in which everyone at The Chapel in North Canton can participate! Every gift, no matter the size, goes directly to meeting the needs of member of The Chapel in North Canton. It is clear that God has blessed this congregation both spiritually and financially. In doing so, He has given us the responsibility of meeting the special needs of our local body's members. The Deacons will be bringing more opportunities for you to give to the Benevolence Fund. The ability of our church to meet the needs of our own members is limited only by our sacrificial giving - as we give above the tithe to this fund. Please be looking for opportunities to "do good to all men, especially to those who are the household of faith" (Galatians 6:10). Those who receive gifts from this fund are tremendously blessed in a time of need, and we are blessed even more as we are used by God to help meet these needs.
