Dear
Chapel Member and Attendee,
For all that believe Christ is our Lord and Redeemer, we have a job to do. That
job is to GLORIFY GOD and one powerful way is serving in the local church. As
it says in 1
Corinthians 3:16, we are God's temple and His spirit lives in us. What are
you doing with such power? Are you really looking for a way to be used at The
Chapel?
If you look at how God has equipped us, there is no spiritual gift we are
lacking (1
Corinthians 1:7). The only thing we as believers are to do is to obey and
let Him work in us. Are you looking for your spiritual gift? Are you that
pliable piece of clay that can be molded and shaped for His glory?
Our Lord has made it clear He wants us to be on fire for Him. As He states
about the church in Laodicea, they were lukewarm, neither HOT nor COLD; so God
was about to spit them from His mouth (Revelation
3:16). Our Heavenly Father needs people alive for Him. Do you want to be on
fire for Him or do you want to be a bad taste in God's mouth?
Finally, I believe 2
Timothy 2:15 says it best: "Do your best to present yourself to God as
one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed." Our Lord has
blessed us greatly in so many ways, but we need to respond to the needs of The
Chapel - His church. All areas need you - children's ministries, youth, adult
ABF, small groups, etc. Are you a long time attendee? What are your questions?
Why not become part of the Family? For you as a member, are you just a Sunday
service person and aren't involved? We need you.
I hope you understand I love The Chapel. The Chapel is you. I can only express
from my experience that the more you serve, the greater joy you will feel.
Being in service to my Lord and helping people grow in their spiritual life is
a tremendous sense of satisfaction. Let Christ Jesus use you.
Please join our family.
In Christ's love,
Pat Jones
