Dear Chapel Family,
We, the Deacons, are concerned about you, the body of Christ. Our main goal is to glorify the Lord. The best way to do this is to have you, the body, working together to do God's will. Our Father has made each of us just as He wanted. We each have a purpose in His plan for The Chapel. (see
I Corinthians
12).
As we go through this transition period for our young church, we must never forget our purpose of pleasing our God. No one part is so important that he/she should cause the glory of Christ to be hindered. Anyone, who by the grace of God, is saved has only one way to thank God; that is to please Him. He has given us a great source of power to do this, the Holy Spirit.
So each member of The Chapel must examine themselves and see if they are hindering the growth of the body. Whether by a lack of service, causing dissension, or any one of the many other ways we hurt the body. In turn, we are hurting our
Savior. Rather, let us pull together in love as I Corinthians 13 points out. Love is the common thread that is essential in a Christian life. It is our desire as your church leaders to have the body work and enjoy the task at hand together in faith and love. May our Lord be pleased with us.
God Bless You,
Pat Jones
