New Crosstown Welcome Center Needs Volunteers

Crosstown will start training for the new self check-in system after the start of the New Year for CM staff and Welcome Center volunteers. We will “Go live” with our AWANA program on January 13 and hope to “Go live” for Sunday morning services soon after. Doors 9 and 10 will no longer be available as entrances into the children’s wing of the building on Sunday mornings starting Sunday, January 10, 2010. We are asking for your cooperation in leaving parking spaces on the back side of the building open on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings for families with young children, as door 8 has
become the main entrance to the Children’s wing. We appreciate your patience as we are taking new steps to ensure the safety of your children while theyare in our ministry. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer at the Crosstown Welcome Center, please contact Kelly Hansen at (330) 494-3419, ext. 320.

We started another great year of AWANA

You are welcome to join anytime! It is never too late because children work through the books at their own pace. Join us each Wednesday evening from 6:25 - 8:00pm in the Family Life Center for fun and games as we come together to learn from God's word.

AWANA, one of the largest, nondenominational children’s and youth ministries in the world, stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” from 2Timothy 2:15. AWANA clubs are active in more than 110 countries around the world and their mission is to “help churches and parents raise children and youth to know, love and serve Christ.” At The Chapel, our AWANA club meets on Wednesday nights from 6:25 - 8:15 p.m. in the Family Life Center, and is open to children age 3 through grade 6. If you’re thinking about registering your child for AWANA, consider the following:

  • Programs are fully integrated and dynamic

  • It’s a great evangelism tool to reach unsaved children and families, so invite your friends!

  • It will help build an enduring biblical faith

  • It brings our church and parents together to disciple the next generation

  • We provide ongoing volunteer training

  • It provides healthy peer relationships

  • It’s fun for children, teens and adults alike!
