PraiseTown…It’s the Word on the Street

PraiseTown is a worship ministry for children grades k-8, with a vision to someday include children of all ages. Our mission is to glorify Jesus Christ and to spread the Good News of HIS WORD through worship ministry arts (music, visual art, dance, drama, and other forms of artistic expression).

PraiseTown provides an upbeat, age-appropriate environment which encourages children to use their creativity in worship. Coordinator “Mrs. Donna” Noble has led music for over twenty years, for children of all ages, including children with special needs. Grades K -2 and 3-5 are led by Mrs. Donna, along with a wonderfully fun-loving team of volunteer, then young worshipers can join an ensemble for 6-8th graders, directed by Mrs. Brenda Long, who brings to PraiseTown a wealth of experience as a choir director.

Mrs. Donna works cooperatively with CrossTown Children’s Ministries and The Chapel’s Worship Ministries so that children in the PraiseTown program experience an integrated Sunday morning and midweek worship experience. Past PraiseTown activities have included: Praise Warrior Boot Camp (a day of “getting in shape” for skillful worship), “Splendor” (a children’s cantata/evening for families to come together in dynamic worship), Taking God’s Word to the Street at a local nursing home on Community Impact Day, Singing in Kids’ Church and in the main service, and a year-end picnic with huge bowls of ice cream!

If a child in your life would like to join PraiseTown, or if you’d like to become a PT volunteer, contact PraiseTown Coordinator Donna Noble at: (330) 494-3419, ext. 309 (church), (330) 877-9406 (H) or pinecross@speedynet.net (email).
