Men’s Accountability Groups

Patrick Morley, founder of Man in the Mirror Ministries and author of No Man Left Behind, states that “Over the years we have discovered five responsibilities of every man, which every man must learn in order to take personal responsibility for his own life.” These five disciplines in no way earn salvation, but they identify some of the ground that God desires you to conquer and hold in His name!

The five responsibilities of every man are:

  • His walk with God

  • His relationship with his wife

  • His relationship with his children

  • His personal finances

  • His health

Have you taken full, personal responsibility for your life? A number of men at The Chapel are insuring their full acceptance of these five responsibilities by joining a Conquered Grounds Accountability Group. Take that step of responsibility and register for a Conquered Ground Accountability Group today at the Men’s Display in the Lobby. If you are interested in becoming a group leader, call Paul Richards at home (330) 494-6018, or work (330) 499-1001.

“Breaking Through the Iceberg of Accountability”

Is ACCOUNTABILITY a private matter? In the west, we tend to think of the conscience as a personal thing... something between just God and self. This is especially true with men! Most men believe that what’s on their conscience is just between God and themselves, but the tragic thing is, that’s simply not Biblical!

In Luke 17:1-3, Jesus said to His disciples, “Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. So watch yourselves. If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him.”

This is a clear call to ACCOUNTABILITY -- Christian to Christian. The desire for a man to keep his thoughts and deeds secret unto himself is one way Satan can isolate you from an accountable relationship. Jesus knew that the “things that cause people to sin” are an inevitability of life, and that is why He directs us to be in an accountable relationship. Jesus also issues a warning in Luke 17 to deal with sin decisively, because the consequences of “causing one of these little ones to sin” will be severe.

Don’t allow Satan to isolate you or allow you to perpetuate sin! Join a Conquered Ground men’s accountability group today, and stand strong with other Christian men who have answered Jesus’ call to hold one another accountable.

Registration cards are available at the men’s display in the lobby. Men interested in becoming an Accountability Group Leader should call Paul Richards at home (330) 494-6018, or at work (330) 499-1001.
